SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AWARD FORM 2026

GUIDELINE OF NOMINATION FOR THE ITSF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY AWARD

1. Qualification of Candidate

The award is open to Indonesian researchers residing in Indonesia who have made a significant breakthrough. Please note that mathematics, clinical medicine, and social sciences are excluded.

The evaluation will be based on the scientific breakthrough with the following support:

1. Consistency in conducting research in the same field.
2. Number and quality of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
3. The quality of the journals where the research works are published.
4. Number of citations by reputable publications.
5. The independence of research works (in contrast to the supervised works).
6. Inspiring other researchers in Indonesia to contribute to the related research subject.
7. Other kinds of scientific contributions (patents, technology applications, etc.).
8. Scientific attitudes.

2. ITSF Science & Technology Award

The ITSF Science & Technology Award for 2026 will consist of a certificate and a prize of IDR 100 million.

3. Nomination of Candidates

The candidate should be nominated by a representative of a scientific research institution or a higher learning institution by providing sufficient justification for the nomination. ITSF encourages the representative of the nominating institution, such as the Director of the Research Institute/Center or the Dean of Faculty in a University, to seek suitable candidates proactively.

4. Nomination Procedure

Candidates should complete the nomination and achievement forms supplied by ITSF and send them to ITSF. The color scanned copy of the completed Nomination Form (page 3 to page 10) and all necessary attached documents in PDF format should be sent to ITSF using Google Form: bit.ly/ITSF-STA.

5. Deadline

The completed forms should reach the foundation on or before August 31, 2026.

6. Selection Mechanism

The selection process includes administrative screening, substantive evaluation, and interviews for shortlisted candidates. Only applicants who pass the administrative stage will proceed to the substantive evaluation.
The following Selection Committee will select the awardee:

Prof. Dr. Suryadi Ismadji (Member)
Prof. Dr. Ocky Karna Radjasa (Member)

The Selection Committee may request experts in the relevant field to assist with the selection process.
The decision of the foundation is final, and no correspondence regarding the decision will be entertained.

7. Presentation of the Award

The awardee should present his/her scientific achievements at the presentation ceremony for the ITSF Science and Technology Award for program 2026, which is scheduled for January 2027.
